I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THIS LAMP AS I BOUGHT IT AT A ESTATE SALE.IT IS IN GOOD  CONDITION AND HAS A MARKING ON THE BOTTOM THAT SAYS L&L WITH A NUMBER THAT IS HARD TO READ BUT I THINK IT IS 6337. IT IS ELECTRIC AND I PLUGGED IT IN AND IT DOES WORK.I DO BELIEVE IT IS BRASS
