Description

We are pleased to be offering this outstanding Carved 65” Round Mahogany Entrance Table to you today. Dating from the 1910’s, this piece features four exceptional carved Greyhound dogs that stand 25 inches tall, and are carved from solid mahogany. The dogs surround the antique gold medallion center that measures 16 inches in diameter. The table is outstanding, and features a four-pieced matched base, feet that measure 8.5 inches around, a three-inch mahogany skirt, and a carved, gold edge that encircles the entire table. Resplendent in the neo-classical style, this table and its pictures speak for themselves. This all-mahogany table is French, and please note the detailed carvings on the dogs, from the ribcages, to the clawed paws, to the gold supports on their heads—there is an overwhelming Egyptian theme here that was popular just after the turn of the 20^th century, and is mirrored in the gold carved accents throughout.
