#14490 Marble Top Inlaid Four Door Cabinet with Cupids

We are pleased to be offering this beautiful mahogany with brass ormolu trim French marble top four-door cabinet to you today.  Dating from the 1920's, this beautiful cabinet features four cross grain and cross banded mahogany inlaid doors with two center doors on a beautiful multicolored inlaid floral arrangement.  The V-shaped diamond-match veneer panels all have a dainty little maple pinstripe inlay that outline the border of the matched veneer panels.  The inside of the doors are just as attractive with four-piece match veneer on the outside doors and on the insider two piece match veneer.  The outside two doors both have three adjustable shelves and the center compartment, which is a double door with the beautiful floral arrangement, has four inlaid dainty dovetailed drawers and another space compartment on top which seems to always work out great for TV’s.  The inside compartment above the drawers on the double door section is 33 inches wide by 16 inches deep and 25 inches high.  From the bottom of the drawers to the top of that compartment is 45 inches high.  The two outside compartments at the narrowest point is 22 inches wide, approximately 16 inches deep, and 44 inches high and of course there are three adjustable shelves.  On the outside of the cabinet, there are carved pillars coming off both side corners, brass articulate pierce carved ormolu trim along the whole base and along the top of the deep ogee molded top and the sides carry on with the mixed grain matched veneer panels and the dainty little maple inlaid and also the brass fancy carved trim.  It is all supported with six vase-type fluted column legs, and on the top there are two fantastic and detailed brass cupids with a clamshell crest!  The cabinet is rounded out with a gorgeous piece of one and a quarter inches thick marble that is a pink colored background with a light beige mix to it.  You can see on one of the veins that there was an old repair at one time, which is no big deal, but we wanted to mention it. The overall condition is great.  The total size of the cabinet is 84 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 59 inches tall.  It is a heck of a cabinet in its original finish.  It shows minor little scuffmarks here and there, but the overall condition is fantastic.  We are pleased to be offering this to you today—please enjoy the auction and have fun!
