      This bow is Pacific Yew, dark heartwood from old growth timber. The Bow was pulled  2" into reflex , then backed with Wild Grapevine. I            created this concept some 10 years ago. It has been tried and proven on many species of wood that otherwise would not make great bows.
      This bow has a stiff handle with the arrow shelf cut in and covered in Otter fur. The handle is wrapped in Black Sea Snake, and bound. The nocks are fashioned from wenge.
      I designed this for my Daughter, oh well, wishful thinking.
      I will be submitting an article to Primitive Archery on the process of using Grape as a formidable backing on bows.
