ANTIQUE JACK LONDON 1913 VALLEY OF THE MOON BOOK

We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure an antique hardback bound book. It is a work of fiction by the well known author JACK LONDON. It is titled THE VALLEY OF THE MOON. We believe this to be a rather unusual title and book by him. It is copyright 1913 by COSMOPOLITIAN MAGAZINE and the MACMILLAN COMPANY. It states it was published in October 1913 and has reprints in 1913,1914,1915 and 1916. It states the Frontispiece was by GEORGE HARPER and his name appears on the lower right hand corner of the Frontispiece. The book was published in New York by GROSSET & DUNLAP and has 530 pages. The book has 3 sections BOOK 1, BOOK II and BOOK III. On the page of Book I someone has put the number of 1872 in fountain pen ink. On the title page it has pencil numbering.. We thumbed through the book. None of the inner pages are loose or missing. Page 186 and 485 have a little tiny piece gone out of the corner edge. Also the bent page corners are also very miniscule. However, due to its age the pages are yellowed and will have the occasional stain or soiling. The book is complete and readable. The book at one time belonged to a City Library which shows check out dates from the years 1933 and 1934. We have photoed this,the outer covers,the title page with the Frontispiece page and a couple other pages to give interested parties some idea of the content and condition contained within the book. The corners are bumped. The outside covers and binding corners show wear. The spine is tight. The binding is loose towards the top. The front cover has the occasional stain.
