Items are sold AS IS & sales are final, UNLESS guarantees are made in an individual item's description.  Check item description for any exceptions.  No refunds are given unless we make a significant mistake.   However, we guarantee items that are made of karat gold & items from high-end manufacturers.  If we say something is definitely 10, 14 or 18K gold, we will refund if we are wrong, including shipping costs.  We test most gold, but sometimes there is no safe place on the item to test without causing damage.  In that case, we go by marks, but still guarantee it is the karat gold we claim.  On the occasion that we are listing an item made by an important designer, the same guarantees will apply.  For example, if we are lucky enough to offer a piece by Tiffany, Yurman or some equally high end designer, we guarantee it is genuine or your money back.  We won’t even try to sell it unless we are convinced of its authenticity, but we are not infallible.  When we make guarantees, we honor them.  Our feedback shows we are worthy of your trust.

We do not charge excessive shipping fees. As buyers, we are bothered by those who try to make a few extra bucks by padding the shipping costs. The only thing we pad is the package or mailing envelope. We always include a box for jewelry pieces & cushion it well, so pieces do not rattle around.   It may not be a new or fancy box, but it will help protect your pieces from exuberant postal handlers.  We do not simply add a bit o’ bubble wrap & call it secure. That’s a promise.  

We value good communication. As buyers, we have always felt it important to connect with the seller quickly, and will do the same as sellers.  We will always contact bidders & winners using the Ebay message system.  Please, use the Ebay message system only for communication. 

We describe items to the best of our ability. We are not professionals (we are school teachers) and base descriptions and information on what we know personally and what we learn through research.  When we sell on Ebay, we do so in the spirit of fun. We really enjoy conversing with people on Ebay, sharing stories of vintage finds, learning the history of styles, and the general banter that goes along with meeting nice people. We ask respectfully that you do not ask us to make changes to our policies, such as making Buy It Now offers, changes to shipping options, pulling single items out of lots, or exceptions for international buyers. Our auctions are absolute with no reserves. Watching the bidding battles is part of the fun and seeing no bids is part of the learning experience. Items we sell are often used, vintage, and antique & will have the normal wear expected to come with age, but we don’t sell junk.  Even when we do scrap & craft lots, we don’t include the stuff that really deserves to be thrown out. This means items are seldom like new, but often have character and history.  Any flaws that we see, whether to the naked eye or through a 10x loupe, will be described and, whenever possible, photographed.  We use lots of photos to assist in the description & help you see it as clearly as possible.

You may email with questions anytime during the auction. Every email up to 24 hours before close will be answered with enough time to bid. Typically, we are available right up to close, but not always, so can’t guarantee an answer to questions sent within an hour of closing. Occasionally, we have a life.  Once payment has been made, we promise to respond quickly, keep you updated on the process, and ship within 3 business days.

If you don’t receive an invoice or email from us within 24 hours, check your spam folder, & email us through eBay.  We check for messages several times a day when we are listing.

We will post positive feedback once the buyer has.  We have found this is the easiest way for us to know the buyer has received the item & is pleased with the least amount of effort for the buyer.  If you are not happy, it is important to contact us before leaving feedback.  We can't correct mistakes if we don't know we made them.  Positive feedback is important to both the buyer and seller & we love to leave glowing feedback!
