This auction is for the hand painted, pink Azalea footed whipped cream / mayonnaise dish / bowl by Noritake China, Japan in pattern “Azalea”, #19322. This pretty bowl would also be just perfect as a candy dish. Beautifully decorated with hand-painted pink and white Azaleas and green leaves on a white ground. Edges are richly outlined in gold. Back stamped with the green Noritake ‘M’ in wreath mark, Japanese characters and the number 19322, which should date to c1918-1924.
In very good condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines; surface marks from use; there may be some light fading of the gold trim around the rim and the floral motif. Please see all photos for additional details. Approximate dimensions: 4 1/2” diameter x 2” tall.
