I use this same type of light in my own Photography business at weddings and parties.  It has 3 settings (HIGH, LOW,MEDIUM) plus a flashing light that looks great while filming people are dancing.  4 batteries are included  and all lights are checked on the day of shipping.

When starting to use them I thought that there was no way a light of this size would do the job, but any bigger and you will wash out your subject and will have ruined shot.

The trick to lighting is to only illuminate what you need to see, not everything that can be seen.
