Both are vintage hardbacks, measuring about 8 1/2 x 11 1/4 inches. Published by Grosset & Dunlap. Illustrated in alternating color and black/white.
  • Lad a Dog by Albert Payson Terhune - adapted by Felix Sutton - illus. by William Bartlett and Harry Michaels (c. 1947; 1976 printing - G+ to VG but name on front end page and scuffed corners.)
  • The Call of the Wild by Jack London - adapted & abridged by Olive Price - illus. by Douglas Allen (c. 1961 - VG pages/Good cover but with moderately worn corners, small tear on bottom of spine, and some peeling of the transparent film covering along the spine edge)
