Rewind For Mac
Even the best computer users have bad days. You throw away a file by mistake. Then empty the trash. You install new software. Only to discover it created new glitches. Or worse, your entire system crashes. No more regretting...start Rewinding!
Rewind Disks - Rewind your entire disk or just your System Folder to a specific time.
Rewind Files - Rewind specific documents, applications, installs, emptying the Trash, and more.
Emergency Startup Mode - Configure Rewind's emergency startup options.
Recover
Rewind is as easy to use as the "Rewind" button on your VCR. It returns your hard drive back to a time before problems happened. So if you've emptied the trash by mistake, just click on Rewind. You'll see the exact minute you cleared out the trash...then you can Rewind your Mac back to the moment before you cleaned house. Presto! - the file is back.
Revive
What if your entire system crashes? Using Rewind's Emergency Startup Mode, your computer will "rewind" itself to a time prior to its demise. No "System CD" needed. It's a lifesaver when there's no one else around to help...like when you're working late or on the road.
Restore
During a crash, files can become corrupted. Even your System file can suffer damage. That used to mean lost work or lost time spent reinstalling the operating system. Not anymore. Now you just select the file you want, at a time before it was damaged, and - viola! - it's restored good as new.
Remove
Hindsight is always 20-20. If only you hadn't opened that suspicious e-mail attachment. If only you had resisted the temptation to download that new application. With Rewind, you don't need a virus definition to fight off infection. Just Rewind to a time before your Mac caught the bug. And you don't have to hunt down bits and pieces of unwanted software...simply Rewind.
