Bunk bed has heavy gauge 3" diameter metal tubing, full-length guardrails, and sturdy welded metal slat system for mattress support. Ladders are integrated on each side of bed. Uses a standard twin size mattress and full size futon mattress (sold separately). Only use a twin size mattress that is 74-75" long and 37.5-38.5" wide on the upper bunk. Some assembly required.
