The Internet indies are cinema's newest revolution - films created by independent filmmakers in their own home movie studios and broadcast via the Internet. Thanks to new digital technology such as Flash animation software, Web features can be produced easily and inexpensively and exhibited worldwide without the benefit of a distribution deal. This 240 page 2001 paperback book provides aspiring filmmakers with a step-by-step, "how-to" source for building a home movie studio and exhibiting films on the Internet. Readers will have access to tested tips for using all the latest technology, from video streaming to downloadable films, from live Internet Webcasts to recordable CD-ROMs. Real-life case studies profile how amateur filmmakers have gotten their work online and viewed by an ever-growing audience. The book also includes a comprehensive appendix listing online film festivals and distributors. Whether you want to build a video-streaming Web site or submit work to Internet film festivals and online distributors, this is the ultimate treasury of tips and techniques for exploring the hottest frontier on the Web today.
