This Jerger wood chess clock was made in Germany circa the1980s. It is far simpler to set than the digital clocks in use in rated chess tournaments today. It has large clock faces, with flags that rise as you approach the set limit, then fall to indicate overstepping that limit, thus losing the game on time. A very sturdy clock with brass buttons and a stable wood base, this one has seen a lot of use already, but still has plenty of life left in it! A tournament director talked me into buying a new digital clock (which I still have not learned how to set myself) and I no longer play casual blitz games, so this one needs to go (along with all my old chess books). I will post additional pictures on request.
