Synopsis
A bird, a monkey, and a snake lose their home in a tree and go looking for a new home, encountering various jungle animals on the way. Features rebuses, which are identified with labels in the margins of the pages. In this rebus story, a bird, a monkey, and a snake live together in a tree. When a storm blows their tree down, each animal decides that he would rather live alone. However, every time one of the trio thinks he has found the perfect home, he discovers that it is already occupied by another animal--and not all the animals they meet are friendly. The bird, the monkey, and the snake eventually realizes that they belong together, and that a tree makes the perfect home for them. Color illustrations accompany the text.
