MAY-JUNE 1945 LA FEMMA CHIC FRENCH FASHION MAGAZINE

 Up for your consideration is an absolutely unbelievably fabulous French Fashion Magazine from 1945.  This extraordinary publication, LA FEMME CHIC, later named just FEMME CHIC, is a picture of fashion by a bygone era.  The magazine is written in French, which I don't read.  It was sent to my Mother during WWII by a U.S. pilot in France.  The artwork and photographs are incredible, as is all the advertising.  I've included quite a few pix to give you a taste for what is inside.  The cover is intact except for a tiny area at the bottom of the spine, and a teeny bit of fraying at the top of the spine.  The lower right front cover and first page has fraying and a litle fold.  The inside is in excellent condition.  The outside feels rough, but that might just be the paper used.  The pages have a little casual wave to them, not from any water damage, but I think it's due to the way it was stored.  I had never seen it until we moved my Mother to an assisted living facility.  It's dusty, but I am NOT going to do anything about that.  This magazine is a changrila for the student or lover of fashion, collectible fashion, fashion designer, etc. The magazine is large measuring 9.75 x 12 1/3".  Happy bidding!

I love BLING and will eventually list over a 1000 items and/or jewelry lots.  You’ll find demi parures, parures, the unusual, rare, weird, gorgeous and eccentric both signed and unsigned.  Since I am not a jewelry specialist, just a lover of jewelry, you will no doubt come across some killer bargains.  Before I retired from teaching middle school social studies, I wore thematic jewelry.  It was a great hook for teaching, and students were captivated by my BLING.  Enjoy!

• Some jewelry comes in a decorative container, often based on the theme of the jewelry, so check the information in the description.
• I will NOT BREAK UP LOTS.
• I’m not a professional photographer, but do okay, and I will tell you when the color is off mark.  Email me if you want additional photos.

SHIPPING:

• I do adjust shipping for multiple items.  Shipping is based on highest shipping cost, plus 50 cents per additional item, unless they are all really heavy and/or bulky OR fragile.  If it's an auction item, I will adjust shipping on the final invoice.  If it's a BIN item, I will refund the excess via Paypal.
• Once I’m notified of your payment, I will prepare your item(s) and ship them off.  Usually within 5 business days.
