Vintage USED - 1995 - Super Hard-To-Find T-Shirt - Legendary Vermont Jazz Collectible - Size Large GOOD CITIZEN One City Under A Groove GC Soundtrack to the 'Zine Volume Two Burlington Vermont Jazz and Acid Jazz CD Release Party December 15, 1995 - Club Metronome - Back of Shirt Lists All Artists on the Compact Disc - VERY RARE T-SHIRT Super Comfy Cotton and Casual Gray Tee Shirt w/ Burgundy and Green Printing - Rare, Hard to Find Shirt Sold at the CD Release Party - Excellent Condition 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton T-Shirt is a part of Vermont's jazz history now, fifteen years later. This shirt was sold on the night of the Good Citizen CD Release Party for the second compilation disc released by the Vermont music magazine. The front of this t-shirt is the album cover of the CD, also called One City Under A Groove. You pretty much had to be at Club Metronome the night of this party to get one of these shirts. So, let's call this shirt RARE, HARD TO FIND, etc. Vermont's amazing jazz community turned out in force to celebrate the release of the CD - no one can deny that Good Citizen threw some great parties. Anyway, this shirt has EVERY BAND ON THE COMPILATION CD LISTED ON THE BACK OF THE SHIRT, along with the DATE AND PLACE OF THE PARTY. A wicked cool collectible. I am selling off a portion of my t-shirt collection, started in the late 1970's, to pay for upcoming back surgery. Please keep watching my Ebay listings under the name "izzytarzan" between now and the end of 2009 for more classic tee's and also various rock and roll, television and movies and sports memorabilia items. Size: LARGE ---- CHEST 42 inches --- LENGTH 29 inches (The "Large" is Manufacturers size on tag, The Actual Measurements Were Taken Today) Not only is this shirt a HARD TO FIND Collectors Item, it's a really comfortable cotton shirt. CONDITION: Shirt is nicely faded gray shirt with subtle, deep shades of burgundy and a really rich light green for the printing on the front. The back is all the light green color - it has held up really well for 14 years and it should be even better looking after 14 more. There is a really tiny print quirk on the front album cover lower right hand corner (see 2nd photograph.) I CAN SEE NO STAINS, RIPS, TEARS or anomalies whatsoever. SHIRT HAS EXHIBITED VERY LITTLE SHRINKAGE and it's still a LARGE shirt - see my measurements above for exact, current details. FRONT: Good Citizen Soundtrack to the 'Zine Volume Two One City Under a Groove Burlington, Vermont Jazz and Acid Jazz BACK: GC SOUNDTRACK VOLUME TWO ONE CITY UNDER A GROOVE VIPERHOUSE DAVINCHI BABY'S NICKEL BAG FREEFALL MICHAEL RAY AND THE COSMIC KREWE NEW NILE ORCHESTRA CHATTERBOX LOW TECH WRECKING CREW BELIZBEHA JOEY SOMMERVILLE JOE CAPPS SCIENCE FIXION GORDON STONE LAR DUGGAN AWN LIKE ALL THE SHIRTS I SELL - THIS IS USED AND FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. THIS SHIRT IS USED, WORN, COOL. It is NOT NEW and it is not represented as such. I have collected over one thousand t-shirts since I began working in the music and video industries in the early 80's. I eventually started making my own music and toured the U.S. for over a decade with my band. We played over 900 shows across the country and I collected shirts from every club, town, college, band along the way. We even had free college merchandise written into our tour riders and we got free hats and t-shirts from schools all over the country as part of our contracts. So, I have a few storage lockers full of some pretty amazing stuff. Thousands of t-shirts. Over ten thousand vinyl albums. Stuff. Carefully stored stuff. Now, I'm semi-retired and completely uninsured and I took a hard fall last winter at Sugarbush - rupturing two discs and chipping a chunk of bone off my spine. I've been trying non-invasive rehabilitation to no avail and now face several expensive surgical procedures. Gotta sell something. Can't part with albums yet but I'm going through everything else. My vintage t-shirt collection needed washing anyway so I decided to start here. If you're into cool, old-school, vintage tee's - punk rock, heavy metal, baseball, football, breweries, exotic locations, anything weird and unusual - my collection just might amaze you eventually. Please keep watching my Ebay site through the rest of 2009. I'll be listing some crazy stuff between now and the end of the year. Any questions, suggestions - please feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks. Peace, Out. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list! |
