AN ORIGINAL 1948 EDITION OF 'THE RUPERT BOOK'

(ANNUAL)

This great annual was produced in complete conformity with the authorized Economy Standards of war time.

It has soft covers which still in pretty good condition, with just a little wear to the edges.

They are still bright and colourful.

The spine is tight & complete with tiny ( 1/4" ) splits at the bottom and one side at the top where there is also a slight crease.

Inside the 'economy ' paper has done very well, and for the most part is still clean and white, with only here and there the occasional fingerprint , crease etc. The colours remain amazingly clear and bright. There is an inscription inside the front cover, but the price (4/- ) has not been clipped.

The first story is Rupert and Jack Frost.

Politically incorrect as were many of these early books, as in Rupert and the Hobby Horse, Rupert meets Santa's Golliwog.
