ADOLPHE MARTIAL POTEMONT (1828-1883) "BOIS DE PIERREFONDS" ENGRAVING

THIS IS REALLY A BEAUTIFUL WORK.  THE DETAIL OF THE TREES AND THE FOREST LANDSCAPE IS SO STRONG IT IS REALLY AMAZING.  I SUPPOSE THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS THIS WAS EXHIBITED AT THE SALON DE 1874.  SINGED IN THE PLATE LOWER LEFT.  GORGEOUS DEEP DARK IMPRESSION MEASURING 11 1/4 X 9 1/4.  LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN MATTED AND FRAMED IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY.  THE MATTE SHOWS VERY MINOR BURN BUT IT IS THERE.  MATTE AND FRAME ARE CLEAN AND READY TO HANG.  THIS IS TRULY A STUNNING PIECE.  FRAME MEASURS 18 X 15 1/4 INCHES.
