Raymond Massey (1896-1983).  Beloved Canadian film actor of the 1930s through 1960s whose many roles included Sherlock Holmes in The Speckled Band (1931), The Old Dark House (1932), The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934), Things to Come (1936), Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940), Santa Fe Trail (1940), Reap the Wild Wind (1942), Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), God is My Co-Pilot (1945), Possessed (1947), The Fountainhead (1949), and East of Eden (1955). 

A scarce vintage 5x7-inch sepia-toned portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen at the height of his career in the 1940s:  "Best wishes, / Raymond Massey."  In good condition for its age, with negligible corner wear, minor toning and scattered surface dings, one of which lightly touches the actor's signature.
