Christopher Chase Galleries is presently offering to the aficionado of modern design an exceptional Prestige Products industrial grade chrome table lamp with the original shade. This auction is for 1 lamp and shade with the option to buy 2 lamps with shades. We recently acquired (8) lamps and shades from a goverment surplus auction. They were in the original boxes and in storage since the late 1970's. Box was marked property of the  US Army Corp of Engineers so they were most likely desk lamps or drafting table lamps. All are "new old stock". Lamp features a triple chrome plated tubular steel body and a heavily weighted base with an integrated push button switch. The finial is solid chromed steel with a set screw to lock it in position. Allen wrench is included and taped to the harp as pictured. Lamp includes the original flexible linen textured PVC shade with a built in diffuser. Shade gives off a soft white light with no glare. It is also hypoallergenic. The light bulb socket is porcelain and can handle up to a 100 watt incandescent bulb. Lamp boasts a generous 10' heavy duty 3-prong brown electrical cord. Lamp was made in Illinois U.S.A.  Dims; 24" tall to top of finial with a 7.5" diameter base. The shade is 16" in diameter. These were built to government specifications and extremely well made. They once paid over $3,000 for a toilet seat for Air Force 1 so who knows what this lamp originally cost us!!! A must have for the avid collector!!! The perfect table lamp for modern living!!!
