The Custer Channel Wing
The Custer Channel Wing is a fundamentally new concept in aircraft design which will permit a ship equipped with the Custer Channel Wing to:
1. Take off in a few feet or rise vertically and hover if properly designed for such performance.
2. Attain forward speeds in excess of those of conventional aircraft.
3. Slow down, hover in mid air and land vertically under full control.
4. Substantially increase payloads, flight range and endurance over that of any other ship.

It is apparent that a wing of these characteristics is a valuable and important addition to the aircraft art.
These results are obtained by a radically new wing design. The Custer Channel Wing is a channel or trough in the form of a half venturi, with the propeller placed at the trailing edge.
