Basic Kit of Rocks and Minerals Book Specimens 1956

The Basic Kit of Rocks and Minerals offered in this auction includes a book, 25 specimens, and box. The box is marked (C) 1956 Z.E.Harvey, Inc./ Harvey House Publishers/ Irvington-on-Hudson, N.Y.

The book is titled "The Story of Rocks and Minerals A Guide for Young Collectors" by David M. Seaman. It has black and white and several pages of color illustrations. It is in like new condition.

The 25 Specimens are named and displayed in individual cubicles. Included are fluorite, corundum, gypsum, serpentine, carnotite, garnet, calcite, obsidian, sulphur, chalcopyrite in pyrrhotite, shell limestone, hematite, chrysocolla, topaz, granite, milky quartz, gneiss, bauxite, travertine, feldspar, talc, sandstone, apatite, magnetite, and marble. They have a clear plastic cover and are glued in place.

The box has a split in 2 corners but is complete.
