First we have a Welcome booklet from the U.S. Naval Submarine Base, New London, Conn.
Captain Philip W. Garnett, Commanding.
Could not find a date when he was Commanding Officer. But he commanded the USS SARGO, SS-188 during the latter part of WW2 and there after.
Little 12 page booklet is 5 x 8 page size that describes the base.
Some of the headings,
Historical Background / Security Regulations / White Hat Club / Chapel-On-The-Thames / Dealey Center / Rock Lake / Morton Hall / midget Submarines / Gilmore Hall / USS Guardfish / Reserve "Moth Ball" Fleet / Escape Training Tank and more.
Slight damage to back cover.

The envelope was put out by the General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, Groton, Connecticut.
Very nice envelope packaging.
On the inside of envelope is the history of the submarine, with drawings of David Bushnell's Turtle, Robert Fulton's Submersible, The Hunley, USS Holland and the USS Nautilus.
The eight (8) submarine pictures are in full color and are 11 x 8-1/2 size.
The subs pictured, USS Holland / USS Skipjack (E-1) / USS Tarpon (SS 175) / USS Flasher (SS 249) / USS -K1 / USS Trigger (SS 564) / USS Nautilus (SS 571) / USS Skipjack (SSN 585).

As shown in several pictures, each color picture has a very nice description of the sub on the back.

Fees for packages weighing over 1 lb will be determined by weight and zip code. I will quote shipping charges after I receive the winning bidder's zip code. Shipping will be from zip 25443. The package will weigh in the 12 ounces range for priority mail. Check the shipping calculator for the fee to your zip.

Transaction must be completed and payment received within 10 days after close of auction or a non-paying bidder will be registered with ebay and item will be relisted.


Insurance will be extra and optional. We make every effort to pack items so that they will be received in the same condition in which they left us. We will not be responsible for items that are not insured once they are placed in the mail. We accept payment through PayPal and will ship within 2 days of receipt of the payment.
