I owned a Brick and Mortar Antique Store in the 1990's. I have closed my store and have sold on eBay for over 10 years. I have loved and collected antiques for 33+ years, and love finding that item you need to decorate your home and/or add to your collection.

I am a part-time ebayer and am not online all the time. Please know that I will reply to any emailed questions, and always check emails a few hours before the auctions end.

I am not an expert at everything sold, and I do not pretend to be. All items are sold as-is described/photoed. I inspect them when I photo and take pictures of damage found. I inspect again when I list, and attempt to disclose any known flaws or imperfections. If you see something not described, please let me know.

The Description includes the pictures, so please check them out carefully in case there is damage I missed.

Spent a very cold and wet 10 days selling items at the 2009 Covered Bridge Festival in Western Indiana. I love collectors though!!!, as they still came out in droves and I enjoy meeting my customers as much as I enjoy hearing from them on eBay.

Since the weather was "iffy" I decided to save my best items for my eBay Holiday auctions. I know that the holidays seem far away, but I will not sell past the 2nd week of December and I have LOTS of high quality items to sell. I save my best items every year for my Holiday sales.

This week I am selling an eclectic assortment, several wonderful Art Deco Name China pieces, will arrive in plenty of time for Thanksgiving! along with some very unique items, suitable for gift giving. You never know what I might find to sell, so make sure and check out my other auctions.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

This auction is for a very vintage Singer Sewing Machine well marked as a Model 99K / 99 K, see picts.  The serial number does not show in my picts but I guarantee it to be, "EK 925931".  

These wonderful Singer machines are so very collectible, and they are as functional as they are beautiful.    I love how collectors of these incredible machines are so willing to share information.  There are numerous sites that allow you to date the production of a machine, using the Serial Number.  This machine dates to 1957.

I was also able to find several instruction booklet/user manual websites where you can download a .pdf file of the Singer 99 K sewing machine manual.   I do NOT have the manual to sell with this machine, but great to know that the information is out there so you can maintain and use this machine. 

The original case has protected this machine for many years, but does show the wear you would expect to see.  I purchased this from a relative of the original owner, and you can still see the sticker residue on the top of the case.  The sticker indicated that this was a working sewing machine.  

When I looked at the beauty of the machine's black painted body, decorated with gold it was obvious that this machine had been very well cared for, see picts.  I was able to find some scratching where material (and pins) would rub on the metal plate, as the machine was sewing.  I did not see any other significant damage but this machine is over 50 years old, and is being sold as used but well cared for, see picts. 

There was some new thread in the machine, and so I plugged it in and turned it on.  The machine is expected to need oiled and cleaned, but it worked well and sewed a nice consistent tight seam.   I added a couple picts trying to show the seam I stitched. 

I am not an electrician, and you will want to have someone more knowledgeable then I inspect this before using.  I sell all electrical items asis, but will describe what I see.  The electrical cord is heavy weight, pliable, I could see no damage.  When I plugged it in the foot pedal, also included worked fine.  The light/lamp attached to the back of the sewing machine worked, as did the on/off switch, see picts. 

I am not an artisan, but I did learn how to sew long ago.   This machine is easy to use, and relatively light weight (compared to other Singer Sewing machines from the same era).  This will make a wonderful addition to any sewing machine collection, as well as a wonderful tool for any artisan to create those one of a kind pieces of fabric art, see picts.  

The Sewing Machine carrying case is approximately 15 by 8 inches and approx. 13 inches tall to the top of the handle, laying flat.  The sewing machine fits nicely inside of this box, see picts.    There is some wear/surface dirt/damage to the case, as you would expect, and not considered significant, see picts

This auction lot will weigh 33 pound, packed to ship.  It will be mailed/shipped from zip code 47869. The eBay shipping cost estimator does not seem to be working for packages going to the Western United States. If the postage seems too high and you are not comfortable calcing it yourself, PLEASE send me your zip code and I will be happy to send you shipping cost information.

I am told that my descriptions are too wordy, and that I describe minimal damage that should be expected in antique items. They are probably right, as this is an antique/vintage item and wears it's age well. Please check the pictures though and make sure that I did not miss any minor flaw that you might notice. Also notice, in the pictures how wonderful this item is.

I normally use UPS Shipping, and zip code on file at ebay. UPS will not ship to a PO Box. Insurance (up to $100) is included in the UPS price. I will combine items, if possible, for shipping. I ship USPS International Priority Mail anywhere outside of the US. I cannot ship International First Class as it does not allow me to insure items and I am now required by eBay to insure all items. Please let me know if any questions or problems with shipping BEFORE bidding on an item

I have a liberal return policy. If you buy it and don't like it, send it back for refund minus a restocking fee, if you comply with my Return Policy.
