Pin Striped Rabbit Fur Long Swing Coat LRG High Quality

I do not specialize in Vintage clothing but I have a couple of friends that do.  I purchased this coat over the summer and have held onto it until fall.   I purchased it at an estate auction because it looked and felt totally luxurious and I 'had' to have it.   I did not know what kind of fur it was though.  I had been told by one of my friends that mink had fine hairs longer the rest so it had occurred to me it could be a mink.  I decided that I did not know enough to identify it, so I chased a vintage expert down in a grocery store parking lot (She is the one that took the first two pictures).   

She said that because the striping was so perfect she thought, to be safe, I had better sell it as a very high quality rabbit fur, and so this auction is for a Pin Striped Rabbit Fur Swing Coat, see picts.   

This coat is beautiful and the fur is rich and the coloring is wonderful, with well defined stripes, full sleeves, a stand up collar, an absolutely incredible vintage coat.  I have lots of picts so that you can see the quality and beauty of this coat.  

This coat fits me and I wear a size 12-14, so I consider it a large size.   The coat, measured from the collar/shoulder seam is approx. 40 inches long to the bottom of the hem .  The sleeve, from the shoulder seam is approx. 24 1/2 inches, but the sleeve has a cuff at the bottom and the length could be adjusted slightly.    The sleeves are much wider at the cuff, great style, see picts. 

The distance measured from underneath one arm to the other, at the side seam, is apprx. 24 inches.  If I measure from one shoulder seam to another, across the top it is approx. 19-20 inches across.   If I measure around the bottom hem it is approx. 76 inches around, lots of fur to 'swing'. 

The coat has front slit pockets, and inner pockets to secure those special items.   I could not see any significant damage to the inside lining, and the maker/furrier's label is attached below the collar.  The label reads, "Sam Felzer Furrier 511 Forsythe Ave. Calumet City Ill".

This is a wearable coat, considered in good condition for it's age.   It is not perfect though, and does show some wear, which I have pictured.  There is a seam rip on the back upper shoulder seam, see picts.  This should be repairable.  There is also a rip on the front of the coat that I have also pictured.  Looks like a button or hook was pulled creating a  tear in the fur, see picts.   This too should be repairable, and the thick fur made it hard to even show the damage, see picts.   It does have the minimal surface dirt/wear that you expect to see on a worn coat, but you can see in the pictures what a great looking coat this is, and the wear is not considered significant.

I am told that my descriptions are too wordy, and that I describe minimal damage that should be expected in antique items. They are probably right, as this is an antique/vintage item(s) and wears it's age well. Please check the pictures though and make sure that I did not miss any minor flaw that you might notice. Also notice, in the pictures how wonderful this item is.
