This is a nicely detailed illustration printed on an original and authentic, 116-year-old page (Pages 889) that has been carefully removed from AN INDIAN COMMONWEALTH, an article from Volume 87 Number 522 in the November 1893 issue of HARPER'S NEW MONTHLY MAGAZINE. The caption reads: TAHLEQUAH. The print depicts the town of TAHLEQUA, capital of the CHEROKEE INDIAN NATION, in INDIAN TERRITORY (Oklahoma), as it appeared in 1893 . The print measures approximately 4.85 x 2.75 inches. The page it's printed on measures approximately 6.25 x 9.35 inches, so there is room for a mat. CONDITION: The print is clean and problem-free, with light age toning and good to very good details. GOOD LUCK! ******************** Check out my other items!
