For consideration is very nice antique (c.1884) publication of "R.CALDECOTT'S PICTURE BOOK NO. 2 - containing THE THREE JOVIAL HUNTSMEN, SING A SONG for SIXPENCE, THE QUEEN of HEARTS, and the FARMER'S BOY" all exhibited in beautiful Engravings, many of which are Printed in Colours. Drawn by R.Caldecott. Engraved and printed by E.Evans. Published in LONDON by GEORGE ROUTLEDGE & SONS, c.1884, 128 pages. 1ST EDITION. Overall, in verygood condition with light surface, rubbing and edgewear. Spine cover has been tape repaired. Decorative Cream cloth cover lists book title, author's name, and publisher's name on the front cover. Binding is tight to the spine having been reinforced with tape repair. Interior pages are in excellent condition, clean and sharp in character. Interior pages are mainly free from rips, tears or writing. Pages 3/4 of Sing a Song for Sixpence has a small closed tear to spine. A wonderful very collectible 1st edition R.Caldecott publication. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer printing of the classic! A great investment.
