Signed Vintage Designer crown or tiara brooch. PAT. & numbered on the rear. PAT stands for Patented, a design which cannot be copied by others. A note that this piece was pictured on a dull day. The stones in this brooch are OUTSTANDING. At the top are 5 marquise or teardrop cut large stones in Royal purple, Amber orange, Pure white, Emerald Green, Ruby Red. There are beautiful pure white pearls, faux or real? Then, there are the Aurora Borealis AB Stones. Aurora Borealis were created by Christian Dior in collaboration with Swarovski Crystals of Austria. They change to a rainbow of colours pinks/blues/greens/purples on light refraction & angle viewed. They are beautiful!! All stones are secured by either 4 prong closure or well inset into sterling silver. Masses of workmanship! and attention to detail. It weighs in at 5grams and measures laid flat: Just under 3.5cms x 2.5cms (just under 1 1/2" x 1" inch). The rear is repeated in mirror finish silver with lock over safety brooch closure. It is signed PAT. (7 numbers follow finishing with 02). Apologies, the numbers are too small for me to view. The numbers are clear. This brooch is in excellent to mint condition. Don't miss your bid!!! Vintage, age & designer unknown.
