Leica 65mm Elmar Lens with Universal Focusing Mount

Offered in this listing is a Leica 65mm Elmar Lens with a Universal Focusing Mount -- the mount necessary to use the lens with the Visoflex II or III. The lens and mount were meticulously CLA'd last spring by one of the best: Sherry at "The Golden Touch". It's ready for another 50 years of shooting. Documentation of that CLA is available. My great uncle used the Elmar with his M2 on trips all over the Western US. In his seventies on one of his last excursions to Death Valley -- a favorite haunt -- a leg on his tripod gave way at Bad Water and the camera and lens toppled to the ground. As you can see, the lens cap took the brunt of the hit. And, you can also see a minor ding on the rim of the lens. That's why I sent it for the CLA. Except for the very minor cosmetic issue on the rim of the lens, everything is ready to go. Both the lens and the adapter come with a cap -- one for the Elmar and a rear one for the mount. I'm selling the lens and mount because I'm into the rangefinder mode of my M2 at this point. So, I am lightening my load a bit by trying to find good homes for my Visoflex-related gear. (My Visoflex III, a 200mm Telyt and a couple of other pieces of Viso stuff are currently for sale on ebay.) The lens, mount, and caps are sold "as-is," and no returns will be accepted.
