An unusual piece, Stunning Showstopper dress from Patrizia Pepe, size 42.......in time for the festive season.
Wear it by itself or over a black high neck, the effect is stunning every way!
Obtained at a sample sale, it bears the retail tag that says 168 Euros and`another tag shows American retail price of $256!!!
In a lovely rich deep eggplant purple color...the High fashion shade of purple that is so "IN'" this season...The colr of the High fashion world....and my favourite color every season anyway :).....this is just an amazing dress in construction as well.
The fabric is drapey (T-shirty kinds..but not the lultra thin..nice medium body) with stretch to it. Baby soft & falls on you like pouring cream!! (Tagged Tessuto/fabric 100% viscose, Applicazione/facing 100% silk)
Then,just look at the neck...stops your breath in the tracks! :) A deep front V ...sleeveless..halter type but the back is cut high like a vest...And the entire V neck, shoulder straps and back of neck is worked upon with button detail...rows of closely spaced pretty round buttons in different sizes, each,delicately covered with the same aubergine color silk and scattered btween them, tiny white sparkling crystals as well as a random type criss cross dimensional purple silk thread embroidery.......gives great visuals with the cut sleeves.
The dress has a tag that says "HAND MADE EMBROIDERY"
Then, the V neck ends its V but the button, embroidery & crystal work continue a little distance down to the wist which has three band like ribbed detail.
At the entire upper left side, from armpit area to little below waist detail, are this row of silk covered pretty buttons with their silk loopholes The button just under your armpit is missing...doesn't really show as it right under your armpit..you can replace it with maybe a white crystal or purple button...
In the upper part, above waist, the dress is unlined except below the embroidered portion that is lined in purple silk. Below waist, the dress has a silky purple lining..
The dress is amazing in fall & cut as well as it's "million dollar" color !

Armpit to armpit is : 17" without stretching. Side of neck to armpit is 9 1/2- 10" waist is situated 5 1/2" below armpit and is 15 " relaxed(side to side) (no stretch here). This is the banded waist detail the is nearly 3" broad. Hip area is 23- 25" side to side (measuring at bias cut inner slip. Length of dress is about 30 1/2" from armpit to hemline...and about 41 1/2"from side of neck to hemline. So then, Best of luck in bidding and do be sure to check out my other listings.
