Vintage ‘Hand Made’ Pillow
Punch Work or Embroidery
 
This auction is for a Vintage, Hand Made Pillow that was made by my Grandmother who passed away in 1968. The pillow has never been used; my Mom has had it stored in her Cedar Chest all these years. I’m not sure if the design would be called ‘Punch Work’, ‘Needle Punch’ or ‘Embroidery’ work. I think the fabric is a light brown burlap and the design is made with yarn. One side of the pillow case is open to put the foam/stuffing inside and then be stitched up. The design on this pillow case is flowers in maroon and coral/orange, green leaves and brown stems. The outside edge has a maroon fluffy trim. This pillow is in excellent condition with no stains or tears. Pillow case measures approximately 17” by 17”. Check out my other auctions; I have listed two other pillows made by my Grandmother.
