Ornate Medal showing at obverse a fine profile image of Saint Joan of Arc.

Margin reads “1412 JEHANNE 1431”.

She is Holy Patron of, among all, soldiers and imprisoned people.

Joan of Arc name was written in a variety of ways, particularly prior to the mid-19th century. She reportedly signed her name as « Jehanne ».

COMPOSITION & SIZE

Nickel silver, openwork ornate with buckle at top, approx 7/8 inch with the bail.

ORIGIN & AGE

France.

Circa 1920 year of her Cannonization by Pope Benedict XV.
