THE ROD IS A 2 PIECE MEDIUM HEAVY ACTION BUT IN MY OPINION A LITTLE LIGHTER AND MORE SENSITIVE THAN MY OTHER MH STEELHEAD RODS.  IT IS RATED FOR 6-17LB TEST AND 1/4-5/8 OZ WEIGHT.  IT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION ALL THE EYELETS AND EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.  I HAVE USED THE ROD ON ONE SALMON/STEELHEAD TRIP AND HAD IT IN STORAGE SINCE LAST YEAR.  THE ROD COST ME $99 BRAND NEW AS YOU CAN TELL FROM THE PICTURE IT WILL HANDLE A BIG SALMON.
