Antique Victorian Steamer Trunk Chest Near Flat Top

This is a very nice mid. size trunk circa 1895

 Antique Trunk with Beautiful hardware!

 Flat top trunk with original hardware and Star Lock.

This is a 'rare double lock' you never see them on flat tops. This

is the trunks original lock. Original rivits and all!

It's practical, managable, useful and lights up any setting.

Lot's of work is involved in the refinishing of these timeless beauties.

4 strong roller corner clamp wheels on the bottom for moving!

Original trunk steel trim and refinished brass varnished hardware

done in our own brass mix to achieve the perfect look.

Nice oak slats all the way around and deep original color.

Nice ornate draw bolts and original lid stay holds the lid open.

This fine trunk is well made and it is good looking indeed.

Solid pine on the body and bottom wrapped with solid oak slats,

steel banding, cast iron end caps and would make a super gift.

All eyes go to these in a room. There's just no getting away from it.

 Each large nail head you see is a thick rose nail 1.5 inches long

 curled in a loop on the inside' They don't let go' ever.

These are getting to be the most difficult to find simply

 because when you finally find one of these, you want to keep it.

It is a very convenient piece of furniture to have, it makes

a fine table and is great for storage. 

 There are three coats of clear satin finish over the entire trunks

interior and exterior to protect the wood and metal finishes.

When these trunks are seen in person people say' WoW! It's

even more beautiful in person! Yes' we agree. That's how

I started doing them a time ago. Now our trunks are in Museums,

in homes, productions and even on the back of antique cars.

  I added handles, thick brown leather genuine trunk handles.

 Handles are leather 4 layer. The finest quality.
