A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
FRAME This is a classic G-man, combination style frame. The chassis is 1/10 12K gold, the brow pieces and temples are jet black zyl plastic. This style was invented by a marketing manager at Art-Craft in the mid-1940's, and quickly became America's most popular high-end men's style. The G-man style was heavily identified as the FBI look, but was also worn by politicians and some early rockers. Today, it is still a recognizable look and shows up on celebrities on a regular basis. Although modern ones no longer have gold in them like this one does, they are still made today by a couple of companies. This one was made by Style-Rite Optics in the late 50's or early sixties.
CONDITION This frame is in excellent condition and is certified ready for new lenses and regular use. Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back.
SIZE This frame is a medium fit for this style and period. Temples are long at 6".

Ebay no longer allows customers or sellers to choose whether to purchase or offer insurance on a per item/ per sale basis. Insurance is now completely up to the seller to provide if they wish. Because only a small minority of our customers use insurance, and because the cost of adding it to every sale is substantial, we have decided to include insurance for International shipments, but not for domestic. So we can no longer offer you the domestic option of insuring your package. Our customers have indicated that they would prefer this to the higher shipping rates we would have to charge to provide it on every package. We will still provide Delivery Confirmation on all domestic packages.

About Us
WHAT WE SELL The eyewear we offer for sale on Ebay is either restored or is new unsold stock. We take pride in the work we do in the preservation of old eyeglasses. We use our thirty-five years of experience to inspect every aspect of every frame - new or not.
CIRCULATED FRAMES The majority of the circulated frames we get have defects beyond repair and are rejected. The rest are taken apart, cleaned, sterilized, polished, and trued. They are then reassembled, using new screws, nose pads, temple covers and other parts as necessary. Finally, the frame is given a final cleaning and adjustment. By the time we finish restoring a frame, it is as good as it can be.
"NEW OLD STOCK" Even frames that have never been out of their original package can change over time. Pressure from other frames in the box and changes in temperature and humidity can cause shape changes, throwing the frame out of adjustment. Metal parts such as hinges can tarnish and become stiff. If a plastic frame has been stored for many decades, the plastic may dehydrate and contract or, in extreme cases, begin to deteriorate (and smell like vinegar). So even with "New Old Stock", we careful inspect each frame and make sure it is solid and in original factory adjustment.
