10 Green Bottles Sitting on the Wall……

Height:  19cm  Dia:  6.5cm        Beautiful rare embossed "Bengal Chutney Co', 'The Palms Brisbane' bottle.  Bottle is in great condition.  The 'E' of 'Chutney' has a mark but this appears to be a flaw in the manufacture rather than a chip.  The very top of the lip has a couple of small dings.  They are smooth so I can't tell whether they are worn chips or manufacture flaws.  No markings on the base.  Just the embossing that can be seen in the photos.  Unpackaged Weight: 440grams.

I am selling off my collection of old bottles which has become a hobby-gone-by.  I started collecting them as a teenager and fossicked them out of local digs and antique shops while traveling around Australia.  However for years now they have been packed up in boxes so it’s time they found a new home.  (I thought maybe I should sell them off before I die and my kids have to do it.)  I could have up to 100 bottles and hope to list them continually every few days.  Hopefully this will give buyers the opportunity to purchase multiple items and save on postage. 

All the bottles are in what I would describe as good condition and reasonably clean.  Some have sediment inside that I can’t reach with my regular bottle brush.  As some collectors can be quite finicky I will leave this up to them.  The bottles have photographed reasonably true.  They are sold “as pictured” and I have done my best to mention any obvious marks, chips or cracks.  Preparing them for sale has been quite a trip down memory lane. Questions are welcome.

Postage:  I do my best to charge true cost for postage.  Some of the large bottles may appear to have quite a high postage rate.  This is due to the Aust. Post cubing rule.  As each bottle will require significant packing to ensure it doesn’t break in transit the package will have to be significantly larger than the bottle itself.  When it is cheaper to do so and I can fit the box into a pre-paid satchel I will.  Any significant postage overcharge will be refunded.  International postage varies between countries and is based on weight.  Please e-mail me for a registered post quote.

I do my best to describe my items honestly and accurately.  I am happy to answer questions and combine postage.  For registered post please add $2.80 to the postage cost.  If registered post is not required I cannot accept responsibility for lost items. All items sold for more than $20 will be posted via registered post.  This is for my protection as a seller and also to ensure buyer protection.

Winning bidders should make contact within 3 days and payment within 7 days.  Unpaid items will be reported to e-bay and re listed for sale.  For pick-up items buyers should arrange to collect within 7 days.  If this is not possible payment should be made and the item will be held by arrangement.  Postage items are usually sent within 3 days of payment being received.
