THIS AUCTION IS FOR A LOVELY LARGE NAUGATUCK "GONE WITH THE WIND" STYLE HURRICANE OIL LAMP . THIS LAMP IS  AN WAS MADE IN 1893. THIS LAMP COMES COMPLETE WITH ALL ORIGINAL PARTS. THE SHADE IS HAND PAINTED SPRING FLOWERS DEPICTED, THE ARTIST INITIALED KS ON THE SHADE.   THE LAMP MEASURES  18" TALL WITH A TOP GLOBE DIAMETER OF ABOUT 9", THIS LAMP IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

REFERENCE TO THIS LAMP CAN BE FOUND IN J/W. COURTER, KEROSENE LAMPS 1884-1940. PAGE 321 AND 322. PRICE IN BOOK IS 150 WITH OUT SHADE.
