Gibson EB2 Electronic Bass Guitar

I'm auctioning this lovely, cherry Gibson EB-2 Electronic Hollow-Body Bass Guitar for a good friend of mine. He's advised that this Vintage bass guitar has been gently used, with some handling marks,  but no cracks or other known issues.  The potentiometer adjustments and the toggle switch all work fine. This Gibson has Serial # 812209 and was made in 1966.

I have no musical talent, so please decide from this description, photos and any specific questions. It looks like similar guitar auctions are trying to get $2,500 & up! There's only a modest reserve price on this auction, so there should be some lively bidding.

Please don't wait too long to ask any questions, so I can get you the answers.  Also please don't wait too long to bid & possibly even be the successful winner of this classic Gibson guitar. I'll try to pack very well for its new home. I almost forgot to mention that the guitar case in these photos is used, but it's included in this auction too.

 Q: I have several of these and this is actually a 1969 model. Gibson came out with this bridge in 1968. This serial applies to 1966 or 1969 and the bridge makes it out to be a 1969. Nice one, though. Ken
