Vladimir Nikolaevich Davidov (7.1.1849, Novomirgorod — 23.6.1925, Moscow;) a real name and the Surname — Ivan Nikolaevich Gorelov — the Russian and Soviet actor, the theatrical director, the teacher, the National actor of Republic
.Vladimir Davidov was born on January, 7th, 1849 in Novomirgorode in a rather poor family of noble family. Its father was the lieutenant уланского a shelf. Studying in the Tambov grammar school, Vladimir took part in school performances, playing the most different roles, including the female. Having ended in 1866 a grammar school, Vladimir Davidov has arrived to Moscow.

In Moscow Davidov has definitively taken a great interest in a scene, observing of game of actors of Small theatre, and began to take lessons of drama art from the known actor And. V.Samarin.

In 1867-1880 Davidov played a scene of provincial theatres in cities: the Eagle, Saratov (the Saratov drama theatre), Kazan, Voronezh, Astrakhan, Tambov basically as a part of P.M.Medvedev's enterprise.

With 1880 for 1924 Davidov plays to capital on a scene of Aleksandrinsky theatre. Among its roles — comedy, tragical, vaudevillian, even female. Popularity to Davidov was brought by performances on the classic: Chekhov, Ostrovsky's plays.

Vladimir Nikolaevich Davidov was engaged in pedagogical activity. Among its pupils Konstantin Zubov, Belief Komissarzhevsky, Nikolay Hodotov, L.S.Viven.
