UP FOR SALE AN ORIGINAL IMPERIAL RUSSIA ANTIQUE TINTYPE REAL PHOTO POSTCARD c.1908 PHOTO PORTRAIT of Famous Theater Scenic Actor Mammoth Viktorovich Dalsky (a real name Neyelov) (1865, Kantemirovka, the Kharkov province — 21.6.1918, Moscow) — the Russian actor. The Mammoth Dalsky was born in 1865 in Kantemirovke the Kharkov province in a family of the landowner. Except it, was four more children, all of them became subsequently actors. Elder sister Magdalina took to itself a pseudonym Dalsky (in the childhood it named Dalja), the same surname has made the scenic name and the Mammoth. The Mammoth Dalsky has ended the Kiev grammar school. Took a great interest in the literature, well knew foreign languages, Latin. Already as the grammar-school boy acted in concerts, executing A.S.Pushkin, U.Shakespeare, F.Schiller's products. Then has arrived on faculty of law of the Kharkov university, but in 1885 has left study for the sake of a scene.In 1889 under P.D.Boborykina's offer Dalsky has arrived in troupe of new Moscow theatre of E.N.Gorevoj. At theatre Gorevoj to Dalsky the glory has come: public has estimated its game in the play «Don Carlos» F.Schiller (a play title role Dalsky kept in the repertoire within several years). The Baron in A.S.Pushkin's play «Avaricious knight» became other remarkable role Dalsky. In 1890 the Mammoth Dalsky receives invitations from leading theatres of Moscow and Petersburg: Small and Aleksandrinsky. The main director Aleksandrinki P.M.Medvedev invites him in troupe «without a debut». The first occurrence Dalsky on a scene has taken place on September, 8th, 1890 — in a role of Zhadova in A.N.Ostrovsky's play "Lucrative post". At theatre it acts in role of drama lovers, especially it managed heroes with the strong, unrestrained passions, opposing societies: Chatsky («the Grief from mind» A.S.Griboedov), Neznamov ("Guilty though guiltless" A.N.Ostrovsky), Rogozhin ("Idiot" Ф. M.Dostoevsky), Hamlet and Othello ("Hamlet", "Othello" of Shakespeare), Charles Moor (F.Schiller's "Robbers"), etc. The Dalsky has worked at Aleksandrinsky theatre of 10 years, however last years to it practically did not give new roles: he played, for example, Quarter in "Auditor" Н. V.Gogol and the Supervisor in «to Wedding Krechinsky» And. V.Suhovo-Kobylina. Last large role Dalsky at theatre — Othello in the tragedy of Shakespeare with the same name — has been played by it on February, 4th, 1900, an anniversary of stay on александринской to a scene. Mammoth Dalsky and Feodor Shalyapin The Dalsky tried to create own theatre (it showed the project of theatre to M.Gorkomu and F.Shalyapin in 1915), but it was not possible to it. Since 1900 it goes on tour in a province, acts on capital scenes and at private theatres, will organise public evenings of tragedies, executing fragments from the best roles. Last time Dalsky appears on a scene in 1916. In 1917 the Mammoth Dalsky declares itself the anarchist, on January, 14th, 1918 he has been arrested under instructions of Council of national commissioners of V.D.Bonch-Bruevicha operating affairs, however is soon released. The Dalsky was lost in Moscow on June, 8th, 1918: has broken from a tram footboard, going on a visit to Shalyapin. UNUSED, EXCELLENT CONDITION.
