I purchased another one of these printers that I use daily and could not believe that a printer cable was not included, so you will have to provide one, if needed. I guess Canon was thinking not everyone would need a cable since this unit will print directly from a camera via the USB port. Since I am on a roll here and currently have a decent grasp of the Queen’s English, I will note my experiences with the IP6000D that I use daily. I started to use mine just after the first of this year and I LOVE IT. I bought a digital camera over 2 years ago and just kept stockpiling my pictures on my hard drive. In the last 2 weeks, I have printed HUNDREDS of 4 x 6 pictures with no problems at all (no problems with other documents or anything else either). No paper jams, no messy ink, no install problems, no nothing. I print all of my pictures on the highest optimization and the most vivid settings possible and the pictures are amazingly brilliant. I went with this model because the generic ink cartridges are so cheap but I had no idea how efficient the printer would be. Of course your results will vary but I printed around (130) 4 x 6 pictures before the low ink warning came on because one of the cartridges was running low, but I just kept printing away. The printer stopped after around 150 pictures so I then had to replace one of the six cartridges. I snapped the new cartridge in and I was back in business in less than a minute. I did not get one bad picture during the ink changing process. The last picture on the empty cartridge was as brilliant as the first picture on the new cartridge. You can find these cartridges here on eBay for $2 each or less, so my calculations indicate that the cost ink per photo is $.013 each at the most, because the 5 other cartridges lasted much longer than the first. So, combined with the low cost of photo paper also found on eBay, I’m printing pictures MUCH cheaper than I can get from Wal-Mart or York Photo. Thanks for looking and good luck!
