DEVIL'S SQUADRON In this 1936 aviation action film, a courageous test pilot works with experimental aircraft for the US Armed Forces. When an important airplane manufacturer dies, his daughter is left to run the company. The company seems to be producing dangerous prototypes; many test pilots die during test runs. The woman decides that she will have no more blood on her hands; she decides to close the company. The pilot changes her mind when he successfully flies one of the prototypes. CAST: Richard Dix - Paul Redmond Karen Morley - Martha Dawson Lloyd Nolan - Dana Kirk Shirley Ross - Eunice Henry Mollison - Forrester Gene Morgan - Barlow Gordon Jones - Tex William Stelling - Ritchie Thurston Hall - Maj. Metcalf Gertrude Green - Lulu Boyd Irwin - Col. Dawson Billy Burrud - Butch Cora Sue Collins - Mary Dix plays an ex-Marine flier who has been court-martialed for cowardice and thrown out of the service. He joins a group of pilots who are hired to test a new bomber. Four pilots are killed before Dix comes in and saves the day. He of course finds time to win the hand of the aircraft builder's daughter and clear his name as well. There is quite a lot of excellent aircraft footage which makes the film a keeper for the aircraft buff. The director, E.C Kenton was best known for doing several of the FRANKENSTIEN sequels made in the 1940's. This high quality DVD is "All Region" so it will play Anywhere in the USA and the World!
