French Almanac with SEVEN Barbier Pochoir Prints.

ITEM: La Guirlande des Mois , 1918, French Almanac, published under the direction of Jules Meynial (Paris). Design, decoration, title-pages, bindings, and plates by George Barbier, the noted Art Déco artist. In French, this book includes poetry, articles and fiction, notes for each individual month,etc. It is illustrated throughout, decorated title page, decorated chapter heads, 7 excellent full-page pochoir plates by Barbier; printed by Schmied. Silk covered boards, with additional decorations by Barbier. 4 ¾” X 3 ¼”.

CONDITION:  Interior is excellent: clean, sound, tight, complete;  top corners and top spine lightly bent.  Edges, bottom corners and spine bottom a bit ragged. Silk exterior of the spine is off.

SHIPPING: We will send out your Barbier Almanac on the same day that we receive your payment. Insured postage is paid by The Rook and the Raven.

THE FINE PRINT

Payment must be made within 3 days of purchase.  If payment is not received within 3 days, we will apply to ebay to recoup lost fees, the item will be re-listed and a non paying bidder report, sorry to say, will be filed.

Returns will only be allowed if an item is accidentally misrepresented. We are quite careful.  This has only happened once in more than 2000 sales.

TERMS OF INTERNATIONAL SALE

Insured shipping internationally can be VERY expensive. $30 is an ESTIMATE ONLY.  Please ask us first, so you will be prepared. Buyer is responsible for all customs fees, duties and taxes. We do not falsify customs documents – not even for Italy.  Please do not ask us. We will ship USPS for the most economical insured rates.  There will be no returns or refunds on any international sales for any reason. If the item is damaged in shipment we will file a claim but there will be no refund issued until the claim is paid by the carrier.
