296: Grips for Ruger Blackhawk, Vaquero, Single Six...

Hand Carved Ruger Grip Panels

These will fit Ruger's:  Blackhawk, New Model Blackhawk, Vaquero (not New Vaquero) and , Single Six, Super Single Six, Old Army, and 4-5/8" and 5-1/2" Super Blackhawk.  This covers grip frames XR3-RED, XRN-3RED, KXR3, and mine has an XRN-3.  These will not fit Ruger 50th anniversary revolvers.   I have more of this wood if you would like to order a second set. 

I finish my grips with no fewer than a dozen coats of Tru-Oil gunstock finish to give them a very nice shine.  The grip screw is stainlessthe ferrules are brass.  My grips are typically wider (thicker) than standard grips.  I have modified the profile slightly, adding material towards the top, to make the revolver easier to hang on to when firing heavy loads.  The bottoms are flat cut with a chamfered edge. 

Since a picture is worth a thousand words and can describe my grips better than I can, I show many large, different pictures of all of my grip sets.  This way you can see them side-by-side and along all four edges so you can see how they fit on my revolver.  Please look closely at all pictures before bidding/buying so you can be confident in what you are going to receive.  If you have any questions, please write and I will try to respond withing 12 hours.  I have yet to have an unsatisfied customer and intend on keeping it that way.

About The Fit:

Every Ruger grip frame is hand finished much the same way that each of my grip panels has been hand finished.  This results in no two Ruger grip frames being exactly alike.  Every grip that I make was created to have a near perfect fit on my own personal New Model Blackhawk, unfortunately, yours will probably be different.  This is part of the reason that I use Tru-Oil wood finish to create that high gloss finish on each of my grip panels.  If your grips do not fit your revolver as perfectly as you like, all you have to do is sand down the areas that don't fit well and recoat the bare wood with Tru-Oil which is available at most sporting goods stores (even Wal-Mart).  Or ship them back to me with a picture (or email picture) of the offending spot and I'll touch it up for you!

About The Finish:

I finish my grips with many coats of Tru-Oil resulting in a high gloss shine which is easy to repair if necessary.  If you would like a more satin finish, specify it when you pay for the grips and I'll make them more satin for you.  This will add about two (2) days to your delivery. 

Shipping:

I will ship your grips within three days of receiving payment, usually USPS First Class Mail FOB West Allis, WI (no insurance).  If you would like another form of shipping, I will ask that you pay the difference in shipping expenses.  

I prefer PayPal and cashier's checks.  I will accept a personal check but will not ship until it has cleared my bank; this may add up to a week to the delivery time.  Please let me know at the close of auction if you intend on paying with any form other than PayPal.
