1929 Cooper Short Story Clowns Norman Rockwell Art

Here is an original short story written by Courtney Ryley Cooper about a circus clown named Pokey Joe and his trick dog Peewee. It's a heartfelt little story and the illustration is done by artist Norman Rockwell, titled, "Checkers". This came out of a Ladies Home Journal magazine dated July 1929. The page is in excellent condition. Measures approx. 13 3/4" X 10 3/4".

This comes from my father's estate who was in the antique picture framing business back in the late 70's and 80's. He did some fantastic things with framing back in the day.
