Movie description
This excellent screen adaptation of Jane Austen's 1813 novel follows a provincial family's struggles to marry off five daughters in 19th-century England. Greer Garson (MRS. MINIVER) stars as heroine Elizabeth Bennett, while Laurence Olivier (REBECCA) plays Mr. Darcy, the new arrival who attracts both Elizabeth's interest and her ire. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE earned an Academy Award nomination for Best (Black-and-White) Interior Decoration.
