Leica IIIc Body - I got this camera about three years ago and have run about three rolls of film through it. The shutter sounds OK, but you'd be crazy not to get it examined on a camera this old. The serial number indicates it was built 1940/41. Sometime in its' life - someone sent it back to E. Leitz and had it upgraded to Leica IIIf specification. I've since gotten a straight IIIc - which I really enjoy using. This example has a nice, bright rangefinder spot. The chrome is phenomenal. I had it re-skinned shortly after I bought it - the original vulcanite just crumbled off. A nice example of a Barnak Leica. |
