These High Performance NOVA 20x80 Lightweight Astronomical Binoculars can be used for Astronomical, Marine and Long Distance Observation as well as Nature Viewing.

These binoculars feature Wide Angle Field Of View and very generous Eye Relief.

The Long Eye Relief allows eye glass users a more convenient observation. Highest quality High Index BAK-4 porro prisms greatly improve the sharpness and quality of image. The lenses are FULLY BROADBAND MULTI COATED (FMC) - including all sides of the prisms increasing the light gathered into the objective lens. Binocular is equipped with a SLOW FOCUS system for precision focusing.

The combination of highest quality BaK-4 Prisms and Fully Broadband Multi Coated lenses will satisfy viewer's highest demand for top quality optics.

Prisms types:

- High density optical glass.

- BK7 prisms are made of borosilicate high density glass.

- BaK-4 high index prisms are made of much denser Barium Crown Glass that eliminates internal light scattering. This is the highest grade of prism. They are more expensive then BK7 but maintain superior sharpness on the edges in comparison to BK7 prisms.

Lens Coating types:

Fully Coated – This coating type uses Magnesium Fluoride to coat glass-to-air surfaces with the exception of prisms. This coating has one layer only and comes usually in blue lens color.

Multi Coated – This coating type is higher quality than "Fully Coated" type of coating that comes in 5-7 layers on glass-to-air surfaces and simple layer on 4 surfaces of prisms. It comes usually in the green lens color.

Fully Broadband Multi Coated – This type of coating is higher quality than similar "Multi Coated" type of coating and comes with additional multiple layers that cover all lens surfaces and all sides of the prisms. It comes also in the green lens color.

The better the coating the less reflection and light scattering that results in higher level of light transmission and better image contrast.
