• #4239 Garglyle Bookend Pair: Gargoyles were originally sculped as utilitaian Downspouts which channeled water away from the walls of great medieval cathedrals. This Gothic Duo can be found perched high atop Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. Many of the now famous roof top gargoyles were sculped by Eugene Emmanuel Viollet-Le-Duc, who devoted nearly twenty years (1845-1864) toward the restoration of this great 12th Century catherdral. Hand Cast and Hand finished in Aged Cement.
