Extremely rare 1934 Leyland Badger truck. I have owned this truck for several years, time is against me with too many projects so regrettably it has to go. It was running up until a year ago when the magneto seems to have expired as there is no spark. The truck was driven into the shed. I have not had it on the road, but when I bought it the previous owner did tell me that second gear was pretty noisy. It is weeping some oil from the right rear side of the axle. The makeshift tank in the interior photo was used to run the truck for short periods because the main tank needs cleaning out, but the original fuel system is all there and was working. As you can see, the canvas top to the body has suffered. The tray is wooden planks, not tongue and grooved. I suspect this was not original. The truck was repainted some years ago by a previous owner and the paint is serviceable but not wonderful, the colours would not have been my choice!
The truck has the original 5.5 litre 4 cylinder overhead cam Leyland engine. There is no spare wheel.
Not sure what else to say, please email with any questions. Email is best as I am rarely near the telephone.
This is an opportunity to acquire a very rare truck. Apart from the Birdsville Mail Badger (which is a slightly later diesel version) I have never seen another Badger anywhere.
Buyer to arrange transport and pay all transportation costs. Obviously a substantial vehicle (with winch due to current non-running condition) would be needed to remove the Badger.
Payment by Paypal or cash on pick up please. Good luck!
